1988...Parte questa fantastica avventura,avevo sempre e solo guardato,non avevo mai avuto l'opportunità di mettere le mani sui giradischi,la prima cosa che ho imparato contare le battute con le mani.Dopo un periodo di gavetta molto lungo,riesco ad esaudire il mio sogno,mi tremavano le mani,non riuscivo a mettere la puntina sul disco,in pochi secondi tutto quello che credevo di sapere scomparve come un niente.Il mio primo nome d'arte Dj Yoshi,questo nome fu scelto da una carissimo amico Ciro Cangianilello che purtroppo oggi non ce più,insieme a lui ad altri amici formammo la Total Eclipse un gruppo di pr che dal 90 al 97 nella nostra zona organizzava i cosidetti mak p 100 con artisti del calibro di Jack Master Pez,Luca Colombo,Principe Maurice,Tony Maione,Doppio Joe,Dj Omar,Andrea Gambardella e tanti tanti altri artisti Napoletani.Nel 97 il gruppo si scioglie e ognuno di noi segui le proprie ambizioni,io continuo in questa passione ed inizio a lavorare con Salvatore Romano affermato pr che mi da l'opportunità di suonare in molti locali di Napoli,Metropolis,My Toy,ecc ecc...Nel 2000 prendo una pausa e sto fuori dal giro finchè non conosco Francesco Savare aka Kellyss che riaccende in me quel fuoco assopito che e l'House Music..

Ladies and Gentleman, DJ Martin Faltin.


Martin Faltin is an very young and talanted electronic music DJ, producer, remixer, and artist born in Uppsala, Sweden on Januari 4, 1990. He has recorded for the Playmoremusic and John's Records labels, he has allso done alots of remixes of artists like India Arie, Keyshia Cole, Wahoo, Mary J Blige, Kirk Franklin and Reel People on different labels. Martin is also known for DJing intelligent, Soulful, Deep House, Spiritual Music sets making use of high-tech electronics such as digital mixing equipment.

Martin takes much of his inspiration from Peven Everett, as well as other artists and producers such as St Germain, Gil-Scott Heron, Herbie Hancock, Bugge Wesseltoft, Groove Assassin, Reelsoul, Blaze, and Louie Vega. He has also taken inspiration from rhythmic latin music like Tito Puente, Mongo Santamaria The Cesta All-Stars.

THIS WAS MY FIRST JOB IN NEW YORK CITY. IT WAS A REMARKABLE PLACE WITH SO MANY STARS ON ANY GIVEN NIGHT. I HAVE HAD THE PLEASURE OF MEETING...CHAKA KHAN, MARVIN HAGGLER, BROOKE SHIELDS, CHER, KEITH HARING, RICHARD LONG, BETTE MIDLER, MADONNA, AFRIKA BAMBAATAA, RUN DMC, GRANDMASTER FLASH, MELLE MELLE, LL COOL J, BEASTIE BOYS, THE ROCK STEADY CREW AND COUNTLESS OTHERS

IN THE BIG ROLLER SKATING DAYS SO MANY STARTS GRACED THOSE DOORS AND AS A YOUNG MAN I LEARNED NOT TO BE STAR STRUCK. A VERY GOOD FRIEND OF MINE ABIGAIL ADAMS (MOVIN SKATES)WAS THE FIRST PERSON TO TAKE ME AND I WILL NEVER FORGET MY FIRST ENCOUNTER WITH STEVEN GREENBERG (THE OWNER). i WAS YOUNG, VERY EXCITED AND RAN UP THE RAMP NOT THINKING. WELL MR GREENBERG WAS STANDING AT THE TOP OF THE RAMP AND SIGNALED TO US THAT WE COULD NOT ENTER. I FELT REALLY BAD THAT NIGHT BECAUSE WE WERE BANNED FOR ME NOT THINKING. LONG STORY SHORT NOT TOO MUCH LATER, ABILGAIL OPENED UP MOVIN SKATES SHOP INSIDE AND I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO WORK FOR MR GREENBERG.

STEVEN HAINO EVENTUALLY TOOK OVER AND THIS IS WHEN ROXY BECAME ONE OF THE HOTTEST HIP HOP CLUBS IN NYC.

MUSICALLY AS A SKATER, BEFORE MY INTRODUCTION TO THE PARADISE GARAGE, I HAD THE PLEASURE OF WORKING AROUND VERY FAMOUS AND TALENTED DJ'S DJ JULIO AND DANNY KRIVIT.

EACH NIGHT SOMETIMES 6 DAYS A WEEK, I WOULD LISTEN TO THE GREAT MUSIC THEY WOULD SHARE AND WAS IMMEDIATELY HOOKED. LISTENING TO JULIO AND DANNY GAVE ME SO MANY (NOW) CLASSICS TO GO AND BUY. THIS WAS WHEN I BOUGHT MY FIRST PROFESSIONAL SET UP (SPUN PRIOR BUT ON MAINLY HOUSE SYSTEMS OF OTHER DJ'S EQUIPMENT.

I KNEW AT THIS POINT THAT I WANTED MORE THAN EVER TO WATCH PEOPLE DANCE AND ENJOY THEMSELVES THROUGH THE MUSIC I COULD PRESENT. IT WAS ALSO AROUND THIS TIME THAT ABIGAIL ADAMS OPENED THE FAMOUS "MOVIN RECORDS" AND HOUSE MUSIC FLOURISHED EVERYWHERE.

I WOULD LIKE TO THANKS DJ JULIO, DANNY KRIVITT AND ALL THE OTHER DJ'S OF ROXY FOR ALL THE LOVE YOU GAVE US.

THE ROXY
Roxy NYC (sometimes The Roxy) was a popular nightclub located at 515 West 18th Street in New York City. Located in Chelsea section of Manhattan it began as a roller skating rink and roller disco in the late 1970s, it was founded by Steve Bauman, Richard Newhouse and Steve Greenberg then acquired in 1985 by Gene DiNino until it closed in March 2007. It even hosted a party for the famed Olympic gold medal-winning USA Ice Hockey team in 1980.

Beginning in the early-1980s, the owners began hosting dance nights. Referred to by many as the “Studio 54 of roller rinks,” it thrived as such for several years. Then, as the popularity of skating began to fade, Pat Fuji revamped the space into a dance club in 1982. Ruza Blue, a British expatriate nicknamed "Kool Lady Blue", founded an all-ages, all-races hip hop club in June 1982. Jon Baker, the future founder of Gee Street Records, worked the door. Hip hop pioneers Afrika Bambaataa and Afrika Islam began DJing there, and were soon joined by Grandmixer D.ST, Jazzy Jay, Grand Wizzard Theodore and Grandmaster Flash.[1] The club sponsored MC battles, Zulu Nation gatherings, breakdancing competitions with the Rock Steady Crew, graffiti murals, and double dutch competitions. The club had a major influence on the evolution of hip hop culture over the next few years.[2] A Roxy Bambaattaa performance was captured in the 1984 film Beat Street.

The Roxy hosted New York City's largest weekly gay dance night, Roxy Saturdays, promoted by John Blair Productions, which has featured many many famous deejays including DJ Julio, Big Bob, Danny Krivit, Junior Vasquez, Manny Lehman, Victor Calderone and Peter Rauhofer. Artists such as Cher, Madonna, Beyoncé, Bette Midler, Chaka Khan, Yoko Ono and Gloria Gaynor have all performed at the Roxy.

A documentary entitled "Roxy: The Last Dance" premiered in 2008, co-produced by Gene DiNino and Red Thread Productions.

Roxy had stopped for several weeks in the fall of 2006, but resumed operation once again on December 2, 2006. The club closed their doors for good on March 10, 2007. The Roxy will eventually be demolished in order to make room for new residential apartments.

Mark IV Disco in Weequahic Park (Mid 70's in Newark, NJ) first introduced Tee Mallory to the world of Disco Mixing. Larry Levan and Tee Scott were influences that came shortly afterward. Today Tee is an established New Jersey based dj/producer whose mixing ability and sound system expertise has gained notoriety wherever he goes. With guest spots too numerous to mention, and residencies over the last 10+ years at Club Black Box, Underground Dreams, Club Eclipse, FamilySoul, and Klubnut.com, Tee's legacy is already established. However, he continues to remain humble, passionate about the music/entertaining and willing to evolve. Tee also has production to his credit. His latest release is titled "Wanna Dance," (Movementsoul Recordings) a latin inspired track that can be purchased at www.traxsource.com. The next single is coming so check this page for the details. This week....we stop in Italy for a remarkable mixer and producer who has a huge following.

We present.

DJ Mr Mama.............................

BIOGRAPHIE: Mauro Marrazza, in Mr.Mama art, begins his career as a Dj in 1993 when he acquires his first single in vinyl. At first to propose music to people it seems strange, but his strong conviction starts it subsequently. Thanks to the aid of some its friends at STUDIO 100 FM. This experience is fundamental for his career that offers the possibility to diffuse his music through the radio and therefore it is introduced to a wider audience. In the 1994/95 he collaborated with EL COTO CLUB (under the artistic direction of Nicholas Frigione), the ONYX with Mark Sapiens, the METROPOLIS for an after tea, EL MAMBO CLUB with Mr. Dodo and at last with the TRIOS the CLUB. In 1998 he opens with residency for nearly 3 years at SYSTEM CLUB, subsequently with SYLVER SYSTEM, with his friend Dario Lotti, the voice of Fabiolino and with artists of heavy caliber like Tony Humpries, Terry Hunter, Seamus Haji, Dimitri from more Paris and many others. In 2003 he began plans for GARAGEFAMILY, with to Mario Pagliari and Nicholas Frigione, playing in several club of Italy in particular Puglia, south of italy! DJ Celeste Alexander

Mix-artist from Chicago, Started in 1982 under the encouragement of Steve "Silk"Hurley, Celestethedj started learning how to mix under the tutalge of Andre Hatchett among many others. One of the first female dj's in Chicago, she signed on with Promoter Dave Risque' and Gucci Productions. After the first year of playing exclusively for Dave Risque' and proving that a female dj Can hold her own in this male dominated industry, opportunities opened up along with her popularity. She has shared the decks over ther years with dj's such as: Frankie Knuckles, Ron Hardy, Steve Hurley, Andre Hatchett, Craig Loftus, Greg Gray, Boo Williams, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Terry Hunter, Gene Hunt, Wayne Williams, Ron Carroll, Mike Dunn, Chip E, Tyree Cooper, Pharris Thomas and many others. She was the lead dj for the "Fantastic Four" an all female dj group for "Park Avenue Productions" which dubbed her the name " The First Lady of House" in the mid 80's and also did guest spots on radio stations; WBMX, WGCI,WHPK, and WKKC in Chicago, and is the ONLY female to have Played "The Musicbox" with the Legend (the Late) Ron Hardy. Celestethedj left the dj and party scene in the mid 90's.and after a 15 year absence from the Scene resurfaced in March of 2007 to reunite with the thing she loves the most. Playing House Music! In 2007, she was one of the Feature guest dj's of the "Chosen Few Picninc" (Chicago's Biggest and Longest running Annual House Music Picnic), The Attic Picnic , and In July 2007 was given her own Internet Radio Show on Cyberjamz.com. Her show The "Celestial Odyssey" runs every Saturday form 1-3pm cst. and has a quickly increasing following of listners. She has been featured in some of Chicagos most premire clubs and will be making her Debuit this year at the WMC 2008 in Miami. Playing for the "First Ladies of House" party,and the "Cyberjamz" party among others. With Future bookings in 2008 in cities like, Dallas, Detroit, and New York, Celestethedj is quickly on the way to being one of the Premire Female DJ's in the country. with future production projects with Producers like: Gene Hunt , Terry Hunter, and DeJay Cease, Celeste Alexander is a name to look out for in 2008 and beyond.......

Well known and loved around the circuit and a true "Soldier" of House....

Well B basicly i’ve been around music all of my life ,as a kid growing up in detroit. Jazz was usually what you would here in our house . There was’nt a day that would go by where you would not hear "WJZZ" on the radio. Early in grade school I learned to play the sax, that’s where the fascination with musical instruments started. At first I played by ear, then later I learn how to read music a little with the lead and bass guitars and piano. In 1976-77 I got into Djing. It wasn’t until 1981 while in the military where I started doing parties with other dj’s who were also in the military. From there i’ve had the chance to play wearever i was stationed , Uk, korea, virginia, S C ,California to name a few. House hit me real hard in 87 while in this club called" the fridge" in brixton just right outside of london, AT that moment the music took control of my thoughts and emotions , I was like "fooooooool calm down" but it was cool. Ever since then i’ve been your classic house head’ wa see’ , I have learned a lot about this music that we love, especially from my detroit heads "whatupdoe" from the art of mixing both on the tables and in the studio. I appreciate being given the chance to play at venues here in detroit and at the WMC in Miami. looking forward I see good things and here good things. In closing to all my peep’s and whoever" be real" in whatever it is that you do ,because if u are not real, how in the hell do u expect for someone else to be real. "STAY DEEP" Peace. OH! P.S. I’AM THE "E" IN DEEP

Bio:
DJ Tony Dennis was first introduced the music in 1980 from radio stations WBMX, WGCI (Chicago) WJLB (Detroit) and WBLS (New York). The first DJ Turntables I ever spun on were MCS Direct Drives. I then purchased two Technic SL-B100's and a Numark DM500 Mixer and learned the fundementals of mixing from a very good friend Joey Thomas. I have studied and continue to study the music and daily and I learn from famous and not so famous jocks all over the world. The music is my passion and I cant imagine my life without it. HOUSE MUSIC WILL NEVER DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
